Not a lot to report as we traveled north thru Fairbanks and then east back to Yukon Territory. No northern trip would be complete without a stop here.
Yes Virgina, there really is a North Pole, Alaska.

Denali on the 28th and start to the lower 48 on 29th.
We took the 11 hr trip into Denali and the scenery was very nice, we eventually arrived at Wonder Lake, where we played peek a boo with Mt. Mckinley, as the clouds obscured and then gave a glimpse of the South Peak. Saw Moose and Caribou and a long shot for camera of a Grizzly resting. Today we traveled from Healy, Ak and about 2 miles saw two moose cross the road in front of us, about an hour later we ran upon a Momma Moose and 2 calfs and did get photos. I will post the photos as soon as I get decent wifi, Verizon sucks as will not upload a photo on 3g 4 bars. Campground wifi is equally as bad for photos. Will post again when in suitable area, may be awhile as we will cross the border tomorrow and be back in Yukon, the land of broken windshields and no wifi or phone service, off the grid so to speak. Soon for those following this blog.
The black bear was more curious about us than scared, he came from across the road to check us out, even stood on hind legs and tried to see into motor home. Looked liked he had been in a fight and lost part of his nose.
finish up with couple more of Mt. Mckinley.

June27th, 2015 Denali
Portions of the drive today.
We made a short drive, about 192 miles, to Denali today. Checked into the Denali RV park and Motel, which is a pretty nice rv site. We are booked for a tour of the Park tomorrow and some hiking, looking forward to it. Took a few photos today and will post below. Have to say that the first picture shows the new Alaska State Flag, at least for me and my travels. Hope your Sunday was a great day, till the morrow.
Now for a few others, The Willow fire results.

| My Bride and I enjoying the Humpback Whale watching in Seward, | Alaska. |
June 25, 2015
Short day today, rode up to Talkeentna today, the Alaska version of Helen Ga., but a very nice area. Had lunch at the Roadhouse and it was tasty, Great breakfast till 2pm. I had the home fries smothered in Raindeer sausage gravy and topped with cheese, my bride ordered a blue berry pancake, which arrived hanging over the plate all around and whole blue berries, delicious. We watched a couple of sea planes take off and land and while viewing Mt. Mckinley, observed a plane with skis which I later learned this plane carries people to Mt. Mckinley and lands on the glacier there, so people can get our and walk on the glacier which is reported to be more than a mile deep. Returned to the MH and took a much needed nap. Tomorrow we go to Seward to go out whale watching, should be a fabulous day. As I write this it is midnight her, 4am for you folks and we still have the sun out, this is the hardest thing to get used to, the midnight sun. More tomorrow after our exploits. Peace and tranquility to all.
The road house, a trapper's one room cabin and the ski plane.
Bobby Flay, get back the Alaskan cook is on the job, tonight it was shishkabob and they were delicious.

June 24th 2015
Today was designed to be a down day, get caught up on maintenance on MotorHome and the car. Spent most of the day getting the oil change and front end alignment on motorhome. I mentioned earlier that a taillight bulb was out on the car, this bulb was added specifically for the turn and brake system of motorhome to display on the car, without pulling the battery down, in the car. Spent an hour fixing this then found that the factory bulb in same light, drivers side, rear had a filament burned and that bulb needed replacing. Well tomorrow is a new day. Will try to get you some photos tomorrow of where ever we end of. Peace and Good Health to all. Enjoy a couple more of the photos from two days ago.
The above is what we wake up to every morning here, What do you see?
This was a unique location out side Teslin, you must bring your own sign and you can post it wherever there is a space.

Alaska, Day 2
We left TOK Alaska this am, around 8:15 local, time, that is 12:15pm to all back home. Alaska is 4 hours ahead of east coast. Today was just a pleasant day to drive, even had a pretty good rain, which this motor home and car needed badly, which lasted only about an hour. The travel was scenic, but there was no wild life for us to see. We are camped about half way between Palmer and Wasilla, Yes that Wasilla, home of Sarah Palin. I do not believe I can see Russia from here. The highlight of today was meeting up with Gordon and his wife Pam. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner and a drive to one of the local mountains where Gordon and Pam hike often. I am going to attach a few photos from two days ago, for those who may be interested. Tomorrow will be spent on minor maintenance issues, i.,e. oil change for motor home and car wash for the car. Until tomorrow.
The second pic up is a Grizzly that we saw two days ago, not a happy camper. The bottom photo is of the mountains heading into Palmer this date. I have a photos at the top of the Matansuka Glacier, taken on way thru the mountains into Palmer. The first pic above Eskimo art work on side of a house, pretty neat.
