June 13th, North Dakota

We left Minnesota this AM and after a short drive, we entered North Dakota.  I do not have a picture of the welcome to North Dakota sign, as we cut across county roads to bring me out at a Flying J truck stop in Grand Forks, Nd.  Guess if you enter this way it is not worth a sign to show the border.  I was a little disappointed at the lack of homage to the original Americans who were here first, virtually no mention on road way of same.  We did pass several homes with American flags flying.  About 280 miles in, we found the Geographical Center of the United States, that was cool. The country side was as lush and green as you could wish for, each farm and cattle ranch has the most abundant green fescue growing and plenty of water every where.  Oddly I noticed that every home had fresh cut grass and some had large yards.  Tonight we are spending the night in Minot ND, with about 130 miles tomorrow to Montana.  Had small glitch with our tow vehicle, the supplemental brake system I use had applied too much pressure to brake pedal and the constant illumination of the brake lights killed the battery.  Finally found a business to pull into and a nice man gave us a boost and all is well.  Looking forward to tomorrow.  Photos are below.
